About

Welcome to Jordans Estate Glamping.

Situated in the historic parkland of the Speke family estate we offer a luxury retreat in our bespoke, traditionally crafted oak Shepherd Huts. We first opened in Summer 2016 and are looking forward to welcoming you in 2024.

We are Rich and Em and we want you to have a relaxing country get away and offer you a chance to step back from the hustle and bustle of modern life and enjoy the timeless tranquillity that the Estate has to offer.

We both work locally as General Practitioners and want to share with you the beauty and history of the family-owned farm and surrounding area. Enjoy the flowers, wildlife and the dark star-filled night skies.

We both love the great outdoors and enjoy spending time walking the dog, Mischief around the Estate, seeing the changing seasons, from the crops being planted in September to harvest time in August and with over 100 acres of woodland you’ll see snow drops in January give way to bluebells in April/May and all the colours of Autumn. Join us on a Guided Walk with campfire coffee or stargazing.

We want you to have a high quality and relaxing stay.

Fully insulated and heated with a log burning stove our shepherd huts are now available all year around. They each have kitchen facilities, dining table, bathroom with shower and fold down Double bed. Also, they each come with their own exclusive use 2-person wood-fired hot tub and pizza oven / fire pit.

Situated in the heart of the Estate you will be surrounded by fields and nearby woodland. The Georgian House of the Jordans Estate once stood just one field away. Though sadly no longer present there are many reminders of a bygone era in the form of the walled garden and the Gingerbread cottage, once the Head Gardener’s home.

From the Shepherd hut you could wake to see deer grazing and pheasants strutting about in the mist under the spectacular 300-year-old specimen plane trees. You may hear foxes and owls and feel close to nature from the comfort of the living area.

Once a dairy the Estate continues as a working farm, seeing wheat, barley and oats as its principal crops.

Our shepherd huts have been hand-crafted on the Estate by the award winning Blackdown Shepherd Huts. Each offers a stay with traditional charm but with modern comforts.
