We offer luxury country getaways for 2 adults in our handcrafted oak shepherd huts nestled in the picturesque parkland of our historic family estate in Somerset. Once home to Captain John Hanning Speke, a Victorian Explorer credited with ‘discovering’ Lake Victoria Nyanza the Source of the Nile in 1858.

Refurbished in 2025 our fully self-catering shepherd huts are complete with kitchen, bathroom and double bed. Our original Shepherd huts ‘Stanley and Livingstone’ are available April to December. You can see the changing seasons through the window whilst relaxing next to a wood-burning stove in Autumn or watch the sunset while sitting out cooking over the fire pit in Summer. Each Hut comes with it’s own exclusive 2 person wood-fired hot tub and pizza oven / Fire pit.
